How can i change the color of a stained wooden cabinet with another stain color?

If it is stain and not paint,you'r stuck. You would have to take the complete surface down to bare wood with complete absence of stain. If you are going to a darker stain you don't need to go down to bare wood ,but don't expect the shade of the color stain you selected.
you can go darker with out much work espically if you just want a dark wood tone, if not, stripping and sanding the first stain off. if its a really hard wood it might not even take any more stain so you may have to sand it, test it in a small hard to see spot before hand
