Answers:
garages and motor spares shops sell a mirror pad its a double sided patch made to do the job it costs about 35 p clean the glass off then the back of the mirror stem treat both with meth spirit to make sure they are clean put pad on back of mirrow then stick it to the glass
Very carefully use a flat razor blade knife to scrape off the excess glue.
You should be able to remove it with a razor blade. The blade won't scratch the glass.
buy double sidded sticky pads super glue on glass?
They make rear veiw mirrior glue that you can get at any auto parts store . The super glue may come off with some cooking grease. It came off my sons hands like that before. or just try a hair dryer the heat may loosen it up so you can get it off. or they make stuff called goo gone in the cleaning section that might get it off. gl
go the a parts store and buy glue made for gluing mirrors will do the trick. cause super glue wont last long and do what the first guy said razor blade
my mum broke her mirror once and tried everything, nothing ever kept it stuck to the glass.
then one day as she was driving the mirror fell off again because the cellotape wasn't strong enough. the cops saw her driving without it and stopped her.
she told them the kids broke it that morning whilst dropping off to school and she was on her way to fix it.
she was soooo mad that she went staright away and had it fixed at a garage!
try scraping it off with a small blade and wipe with a damp cloth to clear debris as you go bit by bit.
Use nail polish to get the super glue off. Go to wal mart or an auto store & get the glue needed for putting the rear view mirrir back up
Super glue won't hold it you need the two part stuff made for rear view mirrors, can get it at any local hardware store
Never heard of this happening before, but 2 weeks ago, I got in the car and the mirror was laying on the floor. Then 1 week ago the car I drive for the company came up missing it's mirror. At least I knew where mine was, so I took mine to the glass company. Hope the boss has that much sense.
I went to Halfords and was able to get a non-genuine replacement, was easy to fit.
Scrap the super glue off with a straight razor blade. Then place some Gorilla Glue or liquid nail onto the rear-view mirror and adhere to the glass. It should stick with no problem.
You need too buy Araldite type glue, (for glass) The sort that you mix two compounds. It works!
