What can i do to unclog my shower pipe?

Question:it takes forever for the water to go down and causing rust to form. Any good products out there i should use?

Answers:
Get a shop vac and suck out the drain.

I just did this last week. Take a wire coat hanger and dig around, you'll be surprised what comes up. I had 2 rubber bands clogging mine. Pour a mixture of white vinegar and baking soda. I couldn't believe all this worked, mine's been perfect since then.
You can try a plunger. I know they are for toilets usually, but it can also work on tub or shower to blow a clog through.

A snake would also help.

Last choice would be some kind of drano or chemical solution. I use their gel stuff when needed, but typically the plunger or snake does the trick.
You can try liquid drain openers as the clog is almost certainly soap and hair and they work pretty good on those, but if not successful, get a snake, rent or buy, an run it down the drain, it will do the job almost for sure.
put some drano down...then use a flat bottomed plunger to move the chemically broken down debris...that would be the best home remedy without purchasing a snake or tearing into the plumbing.
If you are in Evansville Indiana, call A1-Redi Rooter.
The true is products that you buy at the store will not work properly. You might have tree roots in the line, or the line might be collapsed. You need to call someone who knows what they are doing. Also if all you need it a chemical, a professional carries good ones that cannot be purchased in a store. I know, I'm the office Manager here and we carry two very good products.
1 cup baking soda 1 cup white vinager. let it sit for an hour then flush with boiling water. it works great and its safe on your pipes and septic.
It's usually hair that clogs a shower drain. If you can remove the drain cover -- probe down the drain with a clothes hanger bent with a small "hook" at the end. Twist it around and see if you can catch matted hair on the hook. If not get some Draino and follow the directions.
You need to remove the drain cover and use a wire clothes hanger and clean out everything in it, be ready it will be nasty. Things just build up in drains. Anyway once you ahve done that pour some pine-sol down the drain, you need to do this method periodically.

If you have trouble in you kitchen sink run hot boiling water down the drain and pour some pine-sol after it, it cuts the grease, then run hot water. to keep things moving on down the line.
try a plunger first, the back stroke is key.with water in it backed up!
