Why are septic tanks yellow?

Question:

Answers:
Don't know! The one I had a few years ago was blue.

Mine is concrete and is "concrete gray". I have not seen a yellow one and assume it is plastic. May be the type plastic that is stronger such as all the plastic auto bumpers are yellow if you remove the paint.
Mine is also concrete. I've never seen a yellow one.
I'm with the others. I've never seen a yellow septic tank, for a home anyway. It could be a plastic talk or could have a waterproof coating on the tank itself.
Waste is removed through "field lines" and not through the tank itself. The tank is simply used as a holding tank for waste.
All the septic tanks I have seen in 27 years of construction work were made of concrete or were smaller black plastic tanks.
