Does anyone have any suggestions on how to unclog an at-home shredder?

Question:I shredded a credit card in it and now it's clogged up and won't shred anything...even though it sounds like it wants to.

Did you hit the reverse button? Sometimes that helps. If you are going to poke around with it, unplug it first. There may be a small piece stuck and you can pick it out with a tweezers. Just unplug it first!

with tweezers or hemostats carefully pull each stuck piece out from the top and bottom of the shredder opening
