Scrap Metal for sale??
Question:Have a whole garage full of scrap metals. Thick cables and plates..copper and aluminum. Anyone know of places that collect these for cash?
Answers:
Most larger cities will have a scrap yard that will recycle this stuff. Copper and aluminum can bring some worthwhile cash but steel might only get you about a penny a pound, if that much.
All you can do is check the phone book for recyclers
Check in your yellow pages for metal recyclers. With the price of Aluminum now a days I think I am going to keep a bucket in my trunk and start picking up cans off the side of the street.
recycling centers and scrape metal centers. strip plastic off of wire for more cash.
Are you kidding? The yellow pages are loaded with places.
Now the catch or gamble...New tires tire repairs could cost more than your scrap is worth maybe not.
If youre saving pop cans rinse them or you'll have ants appearing like magic. Cockroach powder (boric acid) mixed with sugar water in a shallow lid works great on ants. They love it to death. lol
Borrow your worst friends truck roflmao!
Check your tire pressure for a few days after droppin off stuff.
When goin to the recycle station try not to drive over the broken glass & metal scrap layin around some places are messy.
Just put a sign in the front yard & someone will show up in an uninsured pickup truck & take it to the recycle station for you if you dont want to be bothered lifting it.
My city has 4 places to take metal & some places will weigh it & pay for it. I need my garage space & I never have the minimum weight for them to pay me & they politely tell me to throw it into a bin & leave.
Where did you get these cables and all the other scrap metals? Thick cables are not something that someone just has laying around in their garage. I know that some people go to construction sites and steal this kind of material, I hope that you're not one of them.
