Why does the blower on my heat pump work every other day?

Question:When I turn the setting to cool, the blower will only work about every other day. The outside unit works every time, but the blower does not seem to work but every other day. The outside unit will occasionally get some ice on it as well.

Answers:
The blower motor is going out, or the capacitor has failed. Contact a reputable service company and have it repaired.

The ice forms on your outdoor unit, as the indoor unit is not absorbing the heat from the home. Do not run your unit if the indoor blower is not running, you will overwork your compressor, and a compressor change out is much more expensive than a blower motor.

Keep Kool

Your blower is going out, replace it. Replace your thermostat too, it's not cycling like it should. Mine needs to be replaced too, my unit freezes up.
I just spent $157.31 today to do some simple work on my heat pump, dont let it go too far.
Odd or even days?
