I need some help fixing my refrigerator please.?
Question:My refrigerator makes a low sound like a flute when it clicks on. When it shuts off it stops. Anybody know what I can do to fix it without calling a repairman. Thanks

Sounds like the compressor is failing, but might just have some vibration against something. Remove the panel off of the back and see. If its rubbing on something, you can stick a piece of rubber between them or even a small piece of cardboard.
Hears what to do Pally, firsrt buy 8 pounds of lard. Then, gently grease the shelves in the fridge. Next cover yourself in the lard and Stick your Head in yo Fridge and close fridge.Finally look in the mirror. and lick off the Lard from yourself!

Try cleaning the area under the unit. There may be lint cobwebs, small kids toys, anything under it which may be causing the noise. Remove the front kick panel on the bottum and use a vacumn to get out what you can. If you can move it easy ( most have rollers these days) do the same from the rear. Have a good look with a flashlight while your there to make sure there aren't any forign objects in the way. MIke
