Ice maker not working on Kenmore Side by Side fridge?

Question:The ice maker worked fine then the water hose broke in the rear. I fixed it. The fridge now dispenses drinking water but the ice maker is not making any ice. Fridge is less than 2yrs old. Filter is OK.

Answers:
If you are referring to the tube going up to the ice maker -
the delivery water tube for the ice maker is probably clogged with ice and you have to get rid of it for the ice maker to work.
Ice makers can be very tricky when you dont know about them
so take ten minutes at http://appliancequickfix.com/ and see how your icemaker works and how to tell the problem.
good luck.

You may have air in the line.
Check the water supply tube to the ice tray you can remove it from the back of the refrigerator on the freezer side. Remove it rinse out any frozen water and reinstall.
