3 month old sod is now dying. Sprinklers cover the area. what can i put over to prevent the sod from dying?

Question:I just had sod installed. I noticed we have bugs living in our grass and feel this is the reason my newly installed grass is turning yellow and brown. I've spread Scotts Summer Guard last week as directed on the package. Now I'm finding new dry spots on my lawn. Is there something else I should be adding to prevent my lawn from dying?

Answers:
stop using scotts go organic spread one inch of a good compose then put on some organic fertilizer
it was too early for a chemical fertilizer
