I have to replace my outside a/c unit because the compressor burned out. Any recommendations on brand?
Question:current unit is a '96 carrier. a/c guy suggested a tempstar b/c of warranty. I want something built to last and don't mind the price.

Fyi - Tempstar is a great brand! They are acutally owned by ICP who is owned by Carrier Corp.
Carrier is a great brand. If your 96 Carrier lasted 10 years, I say get another one just like it.
