Shower head drips (leaks)?
Question:the basement shower head leaks when I flush or use the washer or dishwasher. I changed the shower head and put in a shutoff valve to the shower arm. I have flushed again and it still drips (less but it drips). It only does this in the basement bathroom. What can be the problem?

The previous answers are beautiful , but didn't explain reason of repetitive problem with new shut off valve and shower head .
Install ( Y ) strainer on the supply pipe of shower , clean seats and flush pipe , re-assemble again valve and shower
good luck
Your problem has got to be a leaky valve that controls the shower head. There's obviously a pressure build-up when other household valves are opened and closed. The valve controlling the shower head isn't strong or tight enough to handle it. And, it occurs in the basement because the water pressure is heaviest there because of its low location.
You need to replace the seals on the valve for the shower. You'll have to shut off the house water, pull the shower knob off and beauty ring, you should see a large hex nut that holds in the valve assembly, remove that.On the bottom of the valve is the rubber seal usually held on with a screw, remove and replace and reinstall in reverse order.
