Installing toilet?

Question:Is there an easy way to line up the holes in the base of the toilet bowl with the bolts in the flange?

Answers:
Look underneath and get a visual picture of where the discharge hole is on the toilet. Then grab the toilet at the sides of the bowl, holding the toilet kind of between your le legs. Shuffle over to the hole, and position yourself so the discharge hole on the toilet is over the hole, and lightly set it down. The trick is getting the relationship of the discharge to the floor flange in your head before you start.

Hold the toilet above the flange. Look down thru the holes until you see the bolts. Lower in place.
I've seen people take things like screwdrivers and place them on the floor, one on each side, pointing towards the hole. I've also read that if you place a drinking straw over the bolts, standing up, then you may be better able to align the holes as you are setting the bowl. I just eye it up and drop it down, you have some wiggle room to work with. It is important that those bolts have the plastic washer slid over the top of them, to keep the bolts upright and steady.
Use an extra set of 3/8" nuts & screw the bolts down to the flange. Then the bolts won't move.
