Can roaches live in a septic tank and if so how do you get rid of them?
Question:
Answers:
Hmm.
A septic tank works by the waste rotting down so that by the time it gets to chamber 3, it outflows as clean(ish) water.
Cockroaches are part of that process, and putting a chemical in there to nuke them out will also kill all the other bacteria.
The roaches are only a problem if they decide to move into your house...kill them from there.
If you wipe out a colony in the septic tank, they'll be back in 3 or 6 months anyway.
They live there a very comfortable life.
A way to get ride of them is to flush some diazinon insecticide down the toilet on a regular basis.
Yes apparently they can live just about anywhere.i know it sound dirty but it is part of nature intention in this cycle of decomposition..it is a problem if the roaches manages to get out of the septic tank onto your food etc..the solution is to call an exterminator...because by doing it yourself like i did only manages me to use trial and error on a number of resources that does not eliminate the problem.with an exterminator ( a good one) you can even get a guarantee and will look into if the problem persist
That's is like Sandals Resort for them. Try Boric Acid.
they live where there is water, Roach's are water living bugs and yes they can live there too.
get rid-x and this should like them in your tank. it kills all kinds of things.--♥
