How do you remove vertical blinds, (the whole contraption)?

Question:There is a slidey tab in the back (on the side of the window) that is flush with the top of the window sill that slides back in forth, but that's all I can get it to do. Please can you tell me in DETAIL how to take it off so I can put up mini blinds? I WILL PICK A BEST ANSWER!

Answers:
With some vertical blinds, you can remove or insert the actual blades once the track is hung. Some you can't.

Try sliding the tab one way and sliding the blades to the edge so they can be removed through a gap.

Look up inside the track that the blinds slide in. There should be at least 3 screws holding it up to the window sill. When these are removed, the whole thing will come down in one piece.
You can usually remove the ones on the outside and work to the one in the middle to help with holding it up until you're ready.

The best thing is to have someone help you with it. It makes it a lot easier.

ok those slidy things you were talking about, u need to slide them all the way out of the little box they sit in, it might be kinda tight but they slide out. then all you have to do then is simply pull the old mini blind out of those little boxes.
as easy as that
