Neighbors want to install wall anchor on our property?

Question:Our neighbors have an unstable foundation and want to dig and install a wall anchor on our property (houses are close together). It won't be touching our foundation, but it will run underground on our property. They need our written permission.

Anyone have any experience with this? Questions to ask? Any danger to my foundation?

Thank you.
Jen

Make them pay. Take advantage, live like kings.
It will be ok, as long as you dont mind it there.
Hey,
well talk to them about it and get the prob over with
I would have them pay you about 300-400 dollars. Its your property, Not theres. What are they gonna do? They'll have to pay you, its not like they can anchor it somewhere else.
Well that's a heart-rending proposition. While on one hand your property is YOUR property and having the neighbors encroach on that is something that will feel very uncomfortable, BUT, your duty as a good citizens of the earth is to let them go ahead and do it. If you were in their position, you would want people who understood your problem as well.

We have to help our neighbors even in this selfish day and time. Even if you do regret it every time you have to mow around the obsticle, just remember that you are good people and you will be rewarded with good karma in the future for good deeds you do today.

You will probably have to let prospective buyers know about it if you ever decide to sell your house. Probably won't be an issue, but you should know.
As a contractor...i hope this happens to all the people that answer with nasty answers. what if their house falls due to the weak foundation..will it damage your house and possibly kill someone in your home??
I agreed to help our neighbors, allowed them to put in a telephone pole on our property to save on expense to run new electrical line in front of their home. Would never do that again.

Why can't they just fix the foundation?
If it's underground and it's going to be no inconvenience to you after the job is done, let them go ahead. You don't want their house on your property in the future.
There's nothing wrong in working in with neighbors.
How much digging is involved, and how close to your foundation will it be? I think that I would do a lot of research before l let this happen.
