Broken lock?

Question:does anyone know how to remove a peice of wood or toothpick from a door lock without calling the locksmith?

Answers:
Try using a safety pin. Just straighten it out and use it to dig the wood out. If you have a pliers, you could bend the last 1/8" to a 90% angle. This may help in pulling the wood.
