We are fixing to lay ceramic tile, so my question is we are doing a bathroom and hallway, should we find the?

Question:center of the hallway and bathroom combined or just the bathroom? They are one continuous room except the door jamb, but there won't be a threshold between the two.

Answers:
You want symmetry where it is most obvious, which is the hallway. I'm in the midst of tiling my whole house. My hallway has a 90° bend, so my starting point was the intersection of the two parts of the hallway. I spread out from there, keeping everything on grid so that the cut pieces on each side of the hallway were the same width. When I came to the doorway to a room, I continued the grid on into the room, so that the only cuts were on the perimeters.

I'm using a quasi-random pattern of 12x12, 6x12, and 6x6 tiles, which is to say that the pattern actually repeats after 22 positions, but it isn't obvious. I'm not good enough to put down a truly random pattern. It would probably look lopsided, without the different sizes evenly spread out. One advantage of using different size tiles is that I can deviate from the pattern to avoid having to cut very narrow slices next to the wall. I'm about half done, but I won't tell you how long it has taken.

the center of the bathroom. The way it will join up will be fine. It should actually look good. It will mark the difference between the rooms in a good way if you are using two different materials for the hallway and the bathroom.

If you hare tiling the bathroom and the hallway with the same material, then find the center of both areas and work out from that point.
Center the tiles in the hallway first. Second tile the bath and find the center. Unless both rooms are the same size you will end up with large tiles on one side of the room and making cuts on the others.

Even if the lines don't match up at the door both rooms will be centered.
