Miracle method fiberglass tub resurfacing?
Question:Anybody have this done to their fiberglass tub: how good was it? Cost? Smelly or messy procedure?
Answers:
No, but post the outcome if it works! I need to do that to one of my tubs too!
Try epoxy paint or colored resin from a boat store, it has a smell, but not as bad as many solvents, you mix it in 2 parts and apply it fast. You can also fill scratches and gaps. Later you can sand and polish it for a fine finish if needed. Have fun.
how do you dilute is it 2 to 1 or what...sounds interesting...
please reply
I do my own tubs on the job and, have done mine. You can buy the kit from Home Depot, it comes in colors now and is $35.00 a kit. You mat have to get a fiberglass kit at an auto store if you have big gouges in the tub but, it's not that hard to do.
I have always had good results and it only takes some elbow grease. It's a lot cheaper and just as good as those commercial places.
