Hi my name is Jerry and I have been a handyman for 20 years. 1st you need to removed the window, and cut back to where the studs are. Then what you need to do is nail in or screw in a top and a bottom 2x4 the with of the window. So you have support all around where the window was, next you need to put a piece of drywall where the window was. make sure the piece is about the same size and used DRYWALL nails or DRYWALL screws. about 4 on top and 4 on the bottom and 1 in the middle on each side should do it. than fill in around the sides with some patch, let dry and then sand it a little to where it is even. If you are going to title over it it does not have to be perfect because the title mud will fill in the rest. Good luck Jerry
the worst part about this is if you fill it in you'll have to fix the siding on the outside and also the sheet rock inside , i'd use glass block that way you can still get a little light in there and would be private and the water wouldnt hurt it
but if you want to fill it you'll need to add in a couple blocks of wood to fill the hole for support for the new sheetrock , also dont forget to put some insulation in the spaces and then put a piece of 10 mil plastic over the repaired area and then sheetrock over that then do your tile work

glass blocks AND a vent,or a row of cranking translucent glass plates,,,,,,,louvered glass windows i think its called,,,,,,just a small one like 8 or 10 inch square opening.even if you dont want glass,a vent is necessary ,maybe set in a piece of painted greenboard
