I need help diagnosing maytag refridg/ice maker?
Question:ice maker on model 2651 maytag side by side refridgerator works intermittantly, less and less frequent help! please

Check to make sure the stop arm can move through the full range it has been designed to do. I had a similar problem and found the stop arm was not going all the way down. Take out the ice tub and see it the arm latches in the "up" position and if it will go straight down. If necessary turn off the refrigerator to eliminate the possibility of ice build-up in the wrong place.

could be a variety of things. Your water source may be building up a clog. The stop arm (so ice does not overflow) may not be flipping the switch correctly. ?? hope that helps
