WIndow Room AC?
Question:I have a Whirlpool 12000 BTU , 12 amps, 1374 watts, Model Number ACQ128 PT, What maintence could it do give it a longer life and prevent future problems with it....

DIYers stay home. I am getting so sick of people who havent a clue answering these questions. Some answers are even deadly, not for this question but its a shame just the same.
Here it is in nutshell. Spray the coils once a year being careful not to fold the coils over. Next do not ever tip the unit upside down, on its side, etc. Doing this will move oil from the compressor. If you must do this wait several hours before restarting the unit. Thats it plain and simple.
Cleaning it is about all you can do, keeping the coils and drain pan will make a small difference, not a large one but thats all there is.
Just make sure you keep the filter clean...that's about it !
Keep the filter and coils clean have the charge checked ever spring try not to put it on its side treat it like a refrigerator.
