How do I clean the cell on a Mineral Springs pool system?

You will use a weak hydrochloric acid solution of 1 part muriatic acid to 3 parts water. Soak the generator cell in this for 5-30 minutes or until cleaned. Rinse in clear water, return the cell back to the housing and turn it on.

Cleaning the cell will remove a little bit of the precious metals that convert the chlorine ions so don't let the cell sit in the acid solution for more than 30 minutes. Unfortunately there's no way to stop this corrosion process so this means you will end up having to replace the cell every couple years.
