How to replace an automatic sprinkler head?

Question:

Answers:
It is simple, determine if it is a rotating head, or a spray head. Go to Lowes and buy a Rainbird head to match what you have (rotating heads are interchangeable with rotating heads from other brands and the same goes for spray heads.) Most rotating heads are 4" models. The spray heads are commonly 4", but can be from 2" to 12", so check before you buy. Rainbird makes pretty good heads, if you go to Home Depot, you will get Toro heads, THEY ARE GARBAGE and not worth the money. Dig up the old head and screw the new one on.

turn off system take off head go to hardware get head to match put new head back on
