How can I get the stink out of my kitchen sink?
Question:My kitchen sink stinks!! One side has a disposal and the other side doesn't. I have run the disposal too many times to count but it still STINKS!
Please help!!
Answers:
try some baking soda and vinegar
i pour bleach or vinegar through mine.
Try some bleach in the drain and put the stopper in for awhile.
get lemon juice, and spread it all over the sink and disposal. leave it there a while, then wash it off with something that smells good
vinegar and bleach work, but then you would have to get that smell out
pour some clorox in it
Chop up a lemon in the disposal!
That's what I do. ;-)
have you tried pouring bleach? I know it doesn't sound like a very good answer but it sounds like there may be some remains of food down in there this would help dissolve or rid you of it. If that doesn't help then I don't know what would...
Cut up about 5 oranges into 2 inch pieces. Push the pieces into the garbage disposal (while it is on of course) that should get rid of any smell.
1/2 gallon of bleach per week. It'll keep the odor down and help break up the fats that eventually will clog up your pipes. This is cheap and safe for all types of plumbing. My father was a plumber for 38 years.
Cleaning (or baking) soda works, I sometimes use some plain vinegar with it.
I have heard of running lemons in the disposal helps.
Vinegar and baking soda is another winner!
we don't have a disposal but the sink smells we got this product called kictchen cleanup by chlrox and i pore some or spray alot down in the sinks and they smell so much better, sometimes i just pour regular chlrox down in there and it smells so much better,in the hot weather sinks seem to smell but i find as the weather gets cooler and colder the smeel is not bad ,but kitchen ain't clean if that sink stinks.
