Problem lighting pilot light on ferroli 77ff boiler?

Question:Can anyone help. I can't get the pilot light to stay on in my boiler. The pilot lights okay but as soon as the ignition is released something cuts in, pops the ignition/gas supply thingy switch and it goes out. Even had the thermocouple changed.

Any help appreciated.

Has it got an interrupter, if so it has gone, if not Mag unit has gone in the gas valve, but you have to get the valve changed, and i am sure you know that you need to be Corgi registered to do any of it!

You have to hold the button pressed for at least twenty seconds before releasing and the pilot light should remain on. If this does not work, you may need to replace the control with the thermocouple on. It is that long wire which terminates at the back of the boiler
