Kitchen sink water has air in pipe, I have been told.. What does that mean thanks for any help..?

Question:

Answers:
Are you experiencing water hammer(loud noise when a valve is shut)? If this is the case it can be a nuisance. This can be misdiagnosed as air when it could be high water pressure(above 80psi) which would involve installing pressure reducer valve and expansion tank. It could be as simple as a loose washer in an angle stop at sink which would involve replacement of valve. If it is air in line which has not resolved itself with use look at installing hammer arrestors on water lines to sink before valves

This is nothing serious, open a faucet hot and cold on each level of your house and let them run for 5 min. or so, that should rid your pipes of air, if it keeps happening then you will need to install an expansion tank near your water heater
there may be an area of the pipe thats not sealed good enough, allowing air to seep through
