My refridgerator light bulb- night light size, burned out on the ice dispenser...?

Question:the burnt one was very difficult to get out- after 10 minutes of twisting back and forth it finally loosened, now I can't get the other one in, what do I do? It will not tighten all the way.

Answers:
Unplug the fridge, or turn off the breaker. Take a paper towel and clean the socket. You may need to spray it with a cleaner such as Formula 409. If so, wipe it back down with a clean towel when you are done. If the build up is rusty, take a small wire brush and lightly clean the inside of the socket. Rewipe it. Try inserting the bulb.

Cleaning socket is a good idea after you unplug.I have used a tad amout of mineral oil or even a small amount of LPS or wd-40,not much.Work it back and forth a few times.
