Sparkling faucets?
Question:I will be having a open house this weekend.Does anyone know what is the best way to have sparkling faucets using @ home products? Or anything that is not to expensive.
I once heard on TV that you can use vinegar mix w/something else, just can't remember what it was.
Answers:
A simple solution is made using 1/2 part vinegar and 1/2 part water. Spray onto the fixtures and dry with soft cloth or paper towel. (For general cleaning purposes you can take this a step further and mix 1/2 cup vinegar and1/2 cup dish soap in a full-size spray bottle and then fill the remainder of the bottle with water--it works wonders on almost everything!)
Another great faucet shiner is rubbing alcohol. Simply apply it and allow it to evaporate. It will leave behind a fabulous sparkle and repel new water spots.
I have also heard of an individual using VO5 Hot Oil! She applied it to the fixtures and then buffed them to a high shine. I've never personally tried that one, but thought I'd include it in case you'd like to!
Good luck with the open house!
I keep white vinegar in a spray bottle and wipe down my stainless steel sinks and faucets with it nightly. It also will remove calcium build-up (deposits). CLean it first with cloth with some dishwashing liquid. After it is about dry, spray on the vinegar and wipe with dry cloth or paper towel.
Windex does wonders.
