Question:a 150watt floodlight?

This is an interesting question Lex. On the face of it, you would have to say the 150watt floodlight, if both were left on over a period of time. But, although I don't know the figures, as I understand it a fluorescent light, ie the starter, would use more than 85watt to strike, and get the fluorescent light up and running. Depending on what the figure is, might change initial thoughts on what uses the most electricity, specifically if they were both turned on and off repeatedly,. in theory,.. maybe even in practice :-)
You answered your own question so i will just have my 2 points for nothing ta!
85 watt bulb
Your key word is "wattage". Of course the larger number is the greater user.
The lower the wattage the less electricity an item uses.
Truthfully it depends on the efficiency of the control gear on the Florrie. It is assumed in calculations to be 1.8 *85W so that
gives 153W.
Bit close to call really.
pretty simple the 150
The 150 watt floodlight.
In this case, watts refers to the amount of power a particular light source uses to give off light. However, you can find situations where one 85 watt bulb gives off less light than another 85 watt builb. To determine brightness of bulbs, look for the lumens.
As Eve said to Adam. thats a hard one. The 150 watt floodlight.
