Is it true that its bad to run your dryer in the middle of the day in summer cause it'll burn out faster?
Question:I live in Southern Alabama and my nieghbor told me I should not run my dryer during the day. The room my dryer is in is not Air Conditioned like the rest of the house.
Answers:
I lived in Louisiana for 4 years and ran my dryer all summer without any problems. It was in a utility room that didn't have heat or AC. I still live in a hot climate and run my dryer in the summer with no problems and my washer and dryer are nearly 15 years old. It sounds like nonsense to me. The main thing that will kill your dryer's efficiency is not keeping the lint hose and trap cleaned out and that's about it.

No, it won't affect the dryer any differently. The reason people suggest to run a dryer in the evening is because it is not the peak time for electricity usage.
Nope ! It has a thermostat that will shut off the heat when it gets to a certain temperature. Your neighbor probably does not even have a nice blue hat.
