Can I apply indoor outdoor carpeting directly onto an above grade pine wood deck?
Question:this 14 year old wood pine wood deck has some rotten planks that we are replacing with pressure treated lumber. Instead of painting or staining, can we apply indoor outdoor carpeting?

you can but any unprotected wood will rot faster if it has no way to dry out i would seal the wood first
yes you can! Will it give the same or better protection? If it has the rubber backing, I would think it would protect the deck as well as stain or paint.
Carpet away! It won't hurt it.
you could,but then you would be creating a lot of moisture underneath,this is not good for the wood.
