Why is my well water murky?

Question:I just moved into a newly-built home approximately one month ago. Our well water (also new) is cloudy/murky/sandy. I was told that this will go away after a while, but it hasn't yet and I'm getting impatient!

Answers:
the quality of your well water is dependent on how deep the builder put in the pump, some builders-go deep int the water this creates alot of dirty water others go a little above the floor bottom of the well, anyway your best bet is to have, the builder recheck the water, since they are still liable, and if the problem persist, have them install a whole house filter, about $3,000.

It is probably drilling mud in the bottom of the well. Filtration can probably remove it, reverse osmosis certainly will but is expensive to buy and then has to be maintained.

Might want to let the hose run a couple hours a day until things clear up.
It would probably be a good time to use as much water as you can. The silt in the water is coming in because water is flowing in to the well at a fairly significant rate compared to before the well was drilled. This should clear up once the loose silt has washed in from the surrounding area sometimes this happens quicker than others.
