Central Air fan will not shut off?

Question:Lighting hit very close to our house and caused damage to our modem and other pc. Since then, our fan to our Central air does not turn off. The only way to get it to turn off is cutting power to it. Anyone know if there is a easy do-it ourself way to fix this?

Answers:
Which fan are you talking about, the outside unit or the inside? It could be that the relay or contactor is damaged. It is a simple fix and cheap parts.

If you don't know what you are doing hire an HVAC tech. This is all high voltage stuff.

sounds like the fan contact on your thermostat is stuck, try moving the fan selector switch or pushing it (if digital), try disconnecting the stat off the subbase and see if it cuts the fan once disconnected, your t-stat may be toast, they sell them at homedepot. Lightning will do some crazy things to electronics.
I don't advise you trying to fix that yourself. You need someone who works on electrical/furnaces etc.
Call a repairman amd play it safe.
You can call repair shops and get quotes over the phone as to what they charge for a service call.Of course, you'll have to pay extra for parts if they are needed.
