A/C question?

Question:I have a window unit air conditioner and I just went to turn it on and the air that came out stinks like, wet/moldy something or other. It's a hard smell to describe lol. Now, it did rain pretty hard this morning, could this be the reason why? As well as will the smell go away if i leave it on?

Answers:
This is common with window units. Turn it on, and spray Lysol in the intake area. Running it helps it keep from getting that smell, but once it gets it, you'll need to spray the Lysol into the intake. Also, it may have a filter in it that you can replace or wash and put back in there.
