Trying to install 3 flourescent panels in my garage?
Question:and tapping into existing lightbox but darn thing keeps shorting after hooking up the second one...can anyone give me suggestions?
Answers:
These are 120v lights right?
Do like I did. Put a cord and male plug on each light and install a receptacle box nearby. Then hang the lights with a light gauge chain.
This way you can simply plug / unplug each light as needed. Most fluorescent light fixtures are made to be disposable these days anyway. It is often cheaper to by a whole new fixture then a new ballast for one.
If you cannot install a 120v receptacle or a cord on the light fixtures you need to ask someone for help.

obviously your shorting it out wired it wrong, call someone who is qualified
Are they ballast type lights?. if it has a bad ballast that can trip the breaker.
you have a wire crossed or pinched in one of the fixtures go back and check all wiring and try it again
