If yer lawn mower has a two cycle engine, then you got the right stuff and yes it needs to be mixed with gas.
If yer lawn mower has a 4 cycle engine, take the two cycle oil back to the store and exchange it for some SAE30 engine oil and do not mix it with gasoline. You probably have a four cycle engine on there. In that case, oil goes in the crankcase and gas goes in the gas tank and neither the twain shall meet.
2 cycle oil is mixed into the gasoline for 2-cycle engines...like a weedeater...and put into the gasoline tank.

on a Murray does it have a Briggs motor? does it have an oil reservoir plug where you add the oil?
if it does that means it does NOT require oil gas mix
i did own a mower a while ago that required a gas/oil mixture. I do not remember if it was a Murray. if you are not able to determine by looking at the mower then there should be a model number and you can do a web search to see if it is that type mower. If you used the wrong oil empty out what is left and substitute the proper fuel either straight gasoline or whatever.
Not you don't mix 2 cycle oil in a Murray almost all Murrya mowers are Briggs and Straton engined and are four cycle. You put oil in the crank case. Use regular non degerant 30 wieght oil as a rule unless your owner's manual specifies something different.
