How do you repair a sprinkler that just gushed water? Does it sound completly broken or is it repairable? thx

Question:

Answers:
You should be able to replace just the sprinkler head...they only cost a few dollars at Home Depot or Lowes.

If it's the type of sprinkler that you attach to a hose, then getting a new one is probably going to be your best bet, as they do tend to get a little brittle after exposure to sun and chlorine. If you have a sprinkler system, you can probably just replace that single sprinkler head. Take the old on in to Lowe's or Home Depot, and the salespeople there should be able to help you match up the right one.
If you are talking about a lawn sprinkler, then just get another one. If you are talking about an inground sprinkler system, then you can repair the head. If you are talking about a fire alarm sprinkler, then they will have to replace the head, and this should be done by a licensed plumber to keep the insurance active. good luck.
It depends on what type of sprinkler it is and where it's gushing water from. Many have a head on them to direct the water where it is needed. If the head is broken, this can be replaced. If the leak is from the pop-up tube, or somewhere on the body of the sprinkler, then you'll probably need to replace the entire sprinkler.
