What type of test is this?
Question:they leave a small vessel in the home and come back later to collect it. Not a mold test. What else could it be for.only ground floor condos are being tested. Any ideas...thanks!

Definitely radon..It is a radioactive gas that can accumulate in today`s well insulated homes. The canister takes awhile to absorb enough to test, then is mailed/shipped to a laboratory for testing. It comes from the soil. That is why the ground floors only need to be tested. If the concentration is not heavy enough on the ground floor, the higher floors are definitly safe.
