Central Air with Air Exchange System?
Question:Hi - I hope someone can help me! Our local animal shelter has an air exchange system that replaces the inside air with outside air 8 times per hour. Is it possible to keep the air exchange system and run central air in the building? Any idea of a price range for commerical central air units installed? Just an estimate would be so helpful. Thank you so much!
Answers:
Yes it is totally possible to use these systems together if fact it is a very good system to have because in the time of the year when it is cool outside you can use the outside air instead of using a/c and save a lot of money.
I have taken care of several bldgs. with this type of system in them and the savings can be very great plus it insures you are getting a good amount of fresh air in your bldg.at all times.Of coarse if you do not need the outside air it can be closed off almost completely. You can also have these systems setup on a thermostatic system and they will run virtually automatically.
As far as the cost of a new commercial a/c system this really depends on the sq. footage of your bldg etc.
