Descaling home plumbing?
Question:Our water pressure has become too low to activate our tankless water heater. We have contacted the plumber, and per his intructions descaled the water heater (wasn't very scaley). Water pressure still low in both showers and kitchen sink, but the garden tub that is the shortest pipe distance from the entry point of the fresh water never loses pressure and allows the water heater to continue to function properly. I would like to know how to descale an entire home worth of pipes as the well company says that if it were anything they installed it wouldn't allow our garden tub to fill with consistant pressure. The home is a repo so the plumbing more than likely needs cleaned out. Please Help if you can!

White vinegar would descale the pipes. How you get it in there is another problem perhaps someone else would know how to inject it into the system so it can sit and work...How about calling a plumbing supply store...they might sell a professional product you could use.
If you Have Galvanized pipes, more than likely they are clogged with mineral deposits. Your best bet is to slowly but surley convert it all over to copper. I got tierd of low water pressure in my kitchen and bath and finally broke down and started it this week
sounds like a scam to me...ask around before you decide
ask any good reputed civil engineer and request him to visit the site before taking any such type of decision as plumber are not competent for this type of jobs, they are just trained workers.
