What is the thing called that sprays the dishes?

Question:Not the faucet but the thing that pulls out and is that neat little spray tool. I just broke ours somehow. The button is staying pushed in and water only comes out of that, not the faucet. HOW DO I FIX THIS ASAP?

Answers:
okay, that is definitely not funny, I had this happen and ended up with a face full of water. Have you got any vinegar? start by placing the end in the vinegar, you've managed some hard water buildup on the spray thing and right now it wants to be stuck, if you can get rid of the hard water and calcium deposits it may not be broken at all. Failing that you will have to disconnect it for now.it's not really hard as it's just a water by pass. Once you get all the hard water taken care of you can hook it up again. If the vinegar won't take it down and you live near a Co Op, they sell a product called milk stone solvent or Phosphoric Acid that works ten times better than CLR and is really cheap. As with any calcium, lime build up it's better to keep at it than let it accumulate.

I believe it's called the spray hose. Sorry, I don't know how to fix it.
prolly have to replace the whole thing...sorry not much help
Take it apart, and there is a little ball in there that rolls, or either a little lever that will slide. Its probably stuck. I've done it several times!
A dish sprayer. You can't fix it. You have to replace it.
Sprayer. Can you unstick it with a butter knife? Or shut the water off to the sink and un hook the sprayer til you get a new one? Then turn the water back on n hopefully you wont have water shooting all over..All else fails call the matience man..
thing that sprays the dishes.i'd say a wife or girlfriend, they dry them too!
probably the easiest way would be to just replace the SPRAY HOSE with a new one. if you clean everything out from under your sink cabinet, then climb in on your back with a flashlight and look up at the bottom of the faucet, you will see where it is connected. you don't need a whole new faucet, just the hose assembly, and you can get those at your local hardware store, or home improvement center for around $10.-15.00. it is a fairly simple repair, all you will need are a couple of adjustable wrenches at most, and they can tell you what you'll need when you buy the new hose. good luck, hope it helps.
You didnt offer much information. http://appliancequickfix.com/ will tell you about the different dishwasher setups and if you can fix it yourself.
