My washer does not agitate but it will spin... any ideas what's wrong with it?

Sounds like the timer control is not contacting to initiate the agitation cycle. I had mine not drain on one setting ,but run through the whole cycles on a different setting.
Timers are easy to replace, but you have to make sure you know everything about your wahser when you're looking for the part.
Yup, it's probably the timer, but it is a VERY expensive part. You may want to consider replacing the washer.
