I recently bought a digicam. The holder(i think it's fake leather) feels very sticky. (and it stinks) Help?

It's most likely not leather. It's vinyl (man made leather). Try cleaning it with a citrus based cleaner. If that doesn't work then the material itself is breaking down. I would return it or replace the holder.

When vinyl is exposed to a lot of sun light it can react with the (most likely) plastic box/bag it was in and over time will start to deteriorate. No way to stop the deterioration once it starts. The sticky feeling is the 1st hint for me that it is breaking down.
