I flushed a sponge down the toilet!?
Question:Now the water won't go down all the way and my dad is furious!
Any ideas on what I can do that dosen't involve taking it apart
Answers:
Yes, some drain clog remover should break it down enough to flush through. Use the thicker type and allow to sit for 1/2 hour before trying. It is advisable to go at it with a plunger after the wait time to avoid the possibility of a mess when you give it that first flush. Good luck
Try grabbing it with a plumber's snake. If that doesn't work, you'll have to take it apart.
Put a stick of dynamite and blow the sponge out of the toilet by lighting the TNT.
get a toilet auger at home depot or maybe some you know might have one. If it did'nt go to far in get a coat hanger and pull it out
try a plunger, see if when you pull back on the plunger it bring the sponge back to you,..or try a snake and see if you can snake it down the line, of it also can be pulled back when bringing back the snake,..or you may have to call a plumber, and have him jet it down the line to the main sewer line,..
well i would say use a metal hanger ... or a plumbing snake..
if i was there i would just get it for ya

The sponge is most likely still stuck in the toilet trap. You could try a toilet auger, but might make the problem worse. Chemicals can discolor the toilet bowl (black) if left to sit.
I think you are better off pulling toilet from floor. Look to see the pipe in floor is open. At this point, you might have a chance to push sponge back into bowl from bottom hole. And finally you may have to buy a new toilet if all else fails. Try not to push sponge further into pipe, as this will cause more headache.
