How do you trim up cedar trees and make them look nice?

Question:They are Western Red Cedar Trees.

Answers:
Don't trim evergreens, including cedar trees. You can neaten them up by taking a round or two of the bottom branches to create space on the ground below, and in the case of a really big, old cedar, you may wish to expose some of the nicely textured trunk. But keep the exposed trunk proportionately less than 25% of the height of the entire tree, at the very most. You can also remove any dead or broken branches. Otherwise, let your cedar get nice and thick and green.
