How to stop water on the outside of pipes?

Question:I just had a water filter system put in and the pipes are getting wet on the outside from the cold water running through it. can i stop this with out getting a thicker pipe?

Answers:
The water on the outside of the pipes is condensation. Condensation builds when the room temperature is warmer than the pipes so installing a thick pipe won't correct the problem. Use pipe insulators, they feel and look like rubberized Styrofoam with a split that spreads apart so you can wrap around the pipes. This insulation can be cut to length.

Use Pipe insulation (Hrdwr stre).
Get the person back in that installed it and ask him to reseal it again or fix the washer it shouldn't be leaking if its new.
