Adding a sand filter to an easy set pool?

Question:I have an 18' easy set pool, and the filter does ok, but the filter gets dirty quickly, and it does not do a good job of cleaning all the water. Would a sand filter and pump do a better job? What about a larger catritrige filter? I was thinking of a 18" sand filter with 1.5 HP pump.

Answers:
sand filters are not much better than cartridge filters. you should use a d. e. filter. diatamacious earth. it filters about 100 % better than a cartridge filter. you will have a multiport or push pull valve on the front of the filter, to use when you need to back wash the dirt out of the filter.
