I can't get my lawn mower to start?

Question:It made like one or two pops like it was going to start when I pull the cord but now it won't even come close to starting. It was working minutes before. I turned it off now it won't restart.

Answers:
Those things are finicky. They won't run with out oil. Have you checked the oil level?

check the plugs
r u out of gas?
let it sit for a while sounds like it is flooded and try again
Since it made a couple of "Pops", that tells me it has sheared the flywheel key. The flywheel key determines the correct timing of the spark at the sparkplug. If the key has sheared it has allowed the flywheel to move a few degrees making the plug fire at the wrong time for combustion. Remove the old key and install a new one, and the engine should start right up!
