What could be the problem with a turntable not working in a new microwave?

Question:Just purchased and installed a new Sharp above range microwave. Has power, but the turntable doesn't rotate when running. Guide fits in slot and engages, but turntable motor doesn't appear to be running. Are there fuses for these motors and how easy are they to get to? Thinking ahead to a service call and how long it would take to fix.

Answers:
If you are getting any grinding type noises you have a bad turntable gear and that would be to expensive to fix. If you just purchased it take it back do not even mess with the service call!

Nowhere in a warrenty does it say replacement. Call for service. Let them take it down and repair it.
